This Privacy Policy describes how Atomic Solutions (“Measure Twice,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

To provide the Service, we may collect:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, profile photo, and account identifiers.
  • User Content: Data you create in the app, including workspaces, projects, tasks, files, photos, documents, notes, and related records.
  • Device and Technical Information: Device model, OS version, app version, IP/network data, and diagnostic signals.
  • Usage Data (Optional): If you enable usage sharing, we collect de-identified or pseudonymous usage data about feature interactions.
  • Diagnostics/Usage Identifiers: Depending on settings and sign-in status, events may include pseudonymous identifiers (such as app/session IDs), technical metadata (timestamps/device-app context), and for signed-in users, account ID and account email for debugging and account support.
  • Subscription Metadata: Subscription status and purchase metadata needed to manage paid features.
  • Push Notification Token: If notifications are enabled, a push token and notification preferences.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Sync data across your devices and team members you invite.
  • Process subscriptions, restore purchases, and manage entitlements.
  • Provide support, service messages, and security notices.
  • Monitor stability, investigate errors, and improve performance.
  • Improve features using optional usage telemetry.
  • Meet legal, accounting, compliance, and security obligations.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosures

We do not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information:

  • To Team/Collaboration Members: Shared workspace content is visible to members with access.
  • To Service Providers: Vendors that process data on our behalf (see Section 4).
  • For Legal/Security Reasons: If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business Transfer: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.

4. Service Providers and Third Parties

Major providers that may process user data include:

  • Authentication/Database/Storage: Backend infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase, Firebase).
  • App Infrastructure: Mobile app infrastructure and update services (e.g., Expo).
  • Crash Reporting: Diagnostics and telemetry services (e.g., Sentry).
  • Subscription Management: In-app purchase and subscription processing (e.g., RevenueCat).
  • App Stores: Apple App Store / Google Play for transaction processing.
  • Email Services: Transactional email delivery providers.

We share only the data reasonably necessary for each provider’s function.

5. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

6. Retention

We retain data according to the following schedule:

  • Active Account Data: Retained while your account is active, and until deletion.
  • Backups and Logs: May persist for up to 7 days after deletion before overwrite/removal.
  • Legal, Accounting, and Security Exceptions: Limited data may be retained longer where required or permitted by law, or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal claims, tax/accounting records, or security incident investigation.

7. Your Privacy Choices and Core Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access/know what personal information we hold.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete information (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Obtain a portable copy of information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Opt out of optional usage sharing and crash reporting in app settings.

You can also use in-app tools such as data export and account deletion, where available.

8. US and California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information, plus non-discrimination rights.

As of this policy date:

  • No Sale/Share: We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Sensitive Information: We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

California category disclosures:

  • Categories Collected: Identifiers/contact info, account/profile information, user content, internet/electronic activity, device/diagnostic data, and subscription transaction metadata.
  • Business Purposes: Service delivery, operations, security, analytics/improvements, customer support, legal/compliance.
  • Categories of Recipients: Service providers/processors, team members (for shared content), legal authorities where required, and counterparties in business transfers.

Request handling:

  • Response Timeline: We aim to respond within 45 days (or as otherwise permitted by law).
  • Authorized Agent: You may designate an authorized agent to submit rights requests on your behalf, subject to verification.
  • Appeals: If we deny a request, you may appeal by contacting us using Section 16 details and including “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.

9. EEA and UK Privacy Rights

If you are in the EEA or UK, applicable privacy laws may provide rights including access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent.

Our primary lawful bases include:

  • Contract: To provide the Service you request.
  • Legitimate Interests: To secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Consent: For optional processing where consent is required (for example, optional usage sharing and certain notifications).
  • Legal Obligation: To satisfy legal and regulatory requirements.

Request handling:

  • Response Timeline: We generally respond within 30 days (or applicable legal deadline).
  • Complaints: You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 where a higher minimum age is required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If we learn that we collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

11. App Permissions, Media, and Notifications

Depending on features you use, the app may request:

  • Camera Access: To capture photos and documents.
  • Photo Library Access: To upload existing media.
  • Notifications Permission: To send reminders and service notifications.

Media handling:

  • Uploaded images may include metadata provided by your device (such as timestamp or location metadata/EXIF) if present.
  • Unless explicitly stated in-product, media may be stored as uploaded.

Push notifications:

  • We may store notification tokens and preferences to deliver notifications.
  • You can disable notifications in your device settings.

12. Collaboration and Sharing Risks

Collaboration features allow invited members to view shared content and, based on app permissions, take actions on shared data.

Please note:

  • If a member is removed or content is later unshared, access is removed going forward.
  • We cannot control copies, exports, screenshots, or other downstream uses of information that a member accessed while they had permission.

13. Payments and Subscription Information

In-app purchases are processed by Apple and Google. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We receive subscription and transaction metadata needed to validate and manage access to paid features.

14. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

For the mobile app, we use local storage and tokens required for authentication and core functionality. For any related website, we may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for site operation, security, and basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising.

15. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Data is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS and stored on infrastructure operated by us and our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice (for example, in-app notice or email) and post the updated policy with a new effective date. Changes take effect on the stated effective date.
